It's an interesting article. A nurse-midwife delivered Sofie, and barring any unforseen complications, a nurse-midwife will deliver baby #2. I did deliver in the hospital and liked feeling like emergency medical care was right there for me should there be an emergency. I don't think it behooves us to forget that many many women died during childbirth before hospital births were standard care. With that said, though, it is unsettling how many stories I've heard about scheduled inductions before women even reach their due dates or because a physician will be on vacation. Yikes!
