Mini-post

I have so much to blog about. I graduated and had a graduation party the next weekend. We had company and went to a Thomas the Train railroad event. I thought that I would be able to have a flurry of posts in the next day or so, but I'm booked to sub everyday the rest of this week. I need to make some moola!! Today was the first day ever that I got paid to teach. It was actually kind of a weird feeling! So, some of the posting will have to wait. Although, I plan on getting at least a few done throughout the week.

So, here are a few pics that wanted to post. Johanna is in a real climbing stage right now. I took these a little over a week ago. I was just trying to get some laundry done, and she was having a blast in the process.

Hope there's no dirty undies in the pictures!!

Whew...

We are expecting company tomorrow. Our good friends Shawn and Erika, as well as their three kids, are making the trek up to good ol' Woo town for my graduation party on Saturday. They will be staying with us for the weekend, which will be lots of crazy chaotic fun for adults and kids alike! So, today I had a challenge that is not for the faint of heart. I needed to clean my whole house and do some major grocery shopping. The cleaning doesn't sound too bad except for the fact that my house hadn't been REALLY cleaned since right before I brought Johanna home from the hospital (thanks to my mom and sis). I mean, Brian and I are not filthy people or anything.... but we do choose to clean around the bed instead of under it. Who REALLY cleans under their bed all the time anyway?

With the help of my entire family (Brian on morning baby duty, dad on afternoon baby duty, and mom with a vacuum in one hand and a rag in the other) the house is complete. I literally had a two inch layer of dust on my hardwood floor underneath my bed. I AM NOT KIDDING. I also completed my grocery shopping and have everything put away. I even managed to have an eye appointment and pick out new glasses (pictures to come) in the middle of the afternoon.

So, I am basking in the limelight of a productive day. Because, who cares if you don't yet have a job so long as you have a clean house.

Momma's Day

I have so much to blog about. I graduated yesterday (yay me!) with a bachelors of science in middle childhood education with concentration areas of math, science, and reading. I can't believe I am done. I have so much to blog about the ceremony etc., but that will have to be a different day (after all my pics are uploaded!). My grad party is this coming Sat. (the 17th) and we have quite a few friends coming for the festivities. Okay, this blog really isn't about graduation, so I will stop now.

This blog is about "mamas day." So a big HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all my mama friends and readers. You all deserve a CRAZY celebration for all the you do. There is no one like a mama. So, I also say thanks to my own momma- I don't know what I'd do without you :)

Johanna wrote me a nice message on her chalkboard wall today. My family went out to a nice lunch at The Pines where Johanna continued her mommy loving festivities which included chanting my name while she rubbed hot dogs and potatoes all over her head and face.

I love my little lady so much. Motherhood is a journey which can be difficult at times. However, one little smile erases all the difficulties (most days!). It is one amazing ride, and I wouldn't trade it for the world!!

I though it would be fun to post pics taken around Mothers Day last year, and then really recent pics from this year (We haven't taken any mothers day ones..ooops!).

Here are the ones from last year-

Now, here are some recent ones, including some taken yesterday morning before I left for graduation.

Oh how things can change in a year. My little girl is growing up.

An ah-ha moment

I titled this blog "an ah-ha moment" because I knew that would get your attention. Love her or hate her, everyone knows Opera. So, now that I have your attention..........

I GRADUATE ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!!!!!!!

Since I don't want my readers to turn on me, I will now post a few pics from last weekends Miller Family Bonfire. Therefore, you should not be too angry or disappointed in the contents of this blog.
